Statoil has decided to start testing of new software together with Visual Solutions.

Testing is currently ongoing related to planning of wells in the Tyrihans field in Mid-Norway. The software allows the well planning team to work seamless across disciplines, and supports important functions related to data integration across domains, co-visualisation, flow of information related to the planning process within the planning team, interactive sharing of high performance specialists applications and documentation of the entire work process.

The project has been named Statoil Subsurface Collaboration Tools, and the software used in the project has been developed as a partnership between Statoil and Visual Solutions.
