Statoil has together with Visual Solutions started using a new software solution within their Geo Operations.

The geo operations teams are responsble for monitoring drilling and well operations for the Tampen area, including fields like Gullfaks, Troll, Statfjord and many others. The new solution allows the Operational Geologist at the wellsite to collaborate with one or more support centers onshore by interactivly sharing advanced and demanding sub-surface applications and real-time applications over the network.
